HOMEOPATHY
Homeopathy is a system of treatment based on the laws of nature. It has been known for about 200 years. The English royal family has been using it for generations because homeopathy not only removes the symptoms but also addresses the causes of the disease.
HOMEOPATHY IS A HOLISTIC MEDICINE
The holistic approach treats the disease more widely in terms of its causes and individual manifestations. Paracelsus, a doctor and philosopher of the XVI century, says, “Those who just study and treat the external manifestations of the disease (the consequences) resemble those who imagine they can chase the winter by wiping the snow out of the door. However snow does not cause winter, but winter causes snow. “
Homeopaths do not treat the individual physical, emotional, mental or spiritual disease separately, but treat them as intimately related aspects of the patient’s disease as a whole.
At the beginning of the treatment the patient may not be aware of the importance of the questions which are asked. It may seem that the homeopath is interested in things that are not related to the complaints most suffered by the patient. But all the symptoms are manifestations of the natural and automatic efforts of the body to heal and these symptoms are clues or keys that lead to the necessary homeopathic medicine.
Homeopathy uses much more clues than the orthodox medicine, so the patient can be asked about all sorts of seemingly minor variations in health and character in order the homeopath to understand the overall health condition. Before prescribing, homeopaths examine patients from all sides, so the first consultation can take even hours.
Then an individual drug is prescribed for this patient, not just for his current illness but for his condition as a whole. This basic principle of individualized prescribing explains why people, at first glance, the same illnesses can be treated with different medications.

Treating similar with similar, or The law of similarity
Homeopathic remedies are prescribed by the law of similarity. This law states: “What makes you sick, can heal you.” This means that the symptoms caused by a large dose of a substance can be cured with a small dose of the same substance.
For example, when we cut onions and we get this burning feeling in the eyes, runny nose and watery tears, homeopaths would prescribe Allium cepa (medicine made from onion) to a patient who has a cold with similar symptoms.
Homeopaths say they treat “similar with similar ”. The word homeopathy comes from Greek and means “similar suffering”. The law of similarity was part of the medical practice even in ancient Greece, but homeopathy in today’s appearance was formulated 200 years ago by Samuel Hahnemann – a German physician, chemist and linguist.
.
What are Homeopathic remedies?
They come from different natural sources like plants, animals, minerals or other bases.
They are prepared by a series of dilutions of the starting substance and a series of dynamics (especially an important physical, almost nuclear principle) carried out in specialized homeopathic laboratories. The highly diluted solution is then used in liquid form or dropped on a tablet or granules for convenience. The so-called drugs are called “potentiated” because they stimulate the healing powers of the body.
.
How does the Homeopathic remedies work?
Often, the dilutions are so great that there is no chemical trace of the original substance left. The combined dilution process and succuosis process results in the sealing of characteristic energy patterns in the water structure used for the solvent. This can be compared with the transmission of television signals, in which the pictures are transformed into electromagnetic signals. The homeopathic medicine has a certain electrochemical energy, and also has a specific electromagnetic wave frequency. It returns to the cage and to the whole organism certain qualitative and quantitative information.
The two diagrams A and B are examples of fractal progressions. They represent hierarchical levels of the body, starting from the atomic level to molecular and cellular level to organs, systems and whole organism. Diagram A is the normal progression of the structures in the field. Chart B shows how a “small” change of one level can affect and cause large changes in other levels. As we follow the process from the atomic level in the various hierarchical levels, we see how change is becoming bigger at each next level. The place where the “small” change occurred is the target of the homeopathic medicine.
Homeopathic remedies act as a signal that stimulates the vitality and deploy protection mechanisms of mental, emotional and physical level.
.
Homeopathy is tender and soft, or The principle of the minimum dose.
In homeopathy, each medicine should be given only once at a time. Just as the TV plays only the program it was tuned on, the patient is either extremely sensitive or “wave-tuned” to a drug and only needs a small stimulus of this drug (signal).
This is called the principle of the minimum dose. The idea is to be treated with minimum amount of medicine with minimal interference. What is being influenced is rather the energy of the organism than its chemical equilibrium. Homeopathic medicines don’t cause side effects because they does not contain chemicals that can accumulate in the tissues. For the same reason it is impossible to overdose. Overdose is possible in the orthodox medicine, because there is a chemical substances involved there.
Therefore, homeopathic remedies themselves are not dangerous. They are powerful stimulants for the strength of the body itself and must be respected.
.
Surveys, but not animal testing
Homeopathic remedies are tested on humans rather than animals. Groups of supervised volunteers receive safe doses of a substance prepared as a homeopathic medicine while exhibiting certain symptoms that are carefully recorded.
Information on the healing powers of many homeopathic medicine has been collected for over 200 years of clinical experience and stored in two types of homeopathic guides – repertorium and Materia Medica as well in computers.
.
How to make homeopathic drugs?
They are used in varying degrees of strength or potentials. Low potentials have undergone a smaller number of dilutions and suction than high ones, and are generally not so durable and powerful.
High potentials are administered by experienced qualified homeopaths.
Some drugs are administered as a single dose (probably high potency) and the homeopath waits for several weeks to determine the reaction. A lower potency might be prescribed to be taken once either every day or a few times -the homeopath chooses a method most suited to the patient and disease abnormalities. For example, a person suffering from a long time, may need repeated doses to stimulate the immune system, while a young and basically healthy person can react very quickly by a single dose of high potency. Some patients respond better to one method than another, knowing that this is part of the art of homeopathy, this individual response to the treatment may explain the failure of some homeopathic remedies.
.
Individual prescriptions and individual response
After taking the homeopathic preparation, different patients react differently. Some feel great while others may suddenly begin to feel tired and need a rest day or two before they begin to improve – this often happens to patients in distress. Sometimes the initial symptoms temporarily worsen, or patients may experience for a short time the symptoms of diseases that were not really cured. All these reactions indicate that the drug works and that the process of self-restoration and healing has began. In some cases, the reactions are very fine and can pass unnoticed, while in others they can be quite strong.
.
What does the power of self-healing means?
Since the medicine exists it is known that the human body has the ability to heal itself. With illnesses such as colds it naturally resists and over time improves by mobilizing its own protection, assisted by the rest, fresh air and proper nutrition. With chronic diseases, repeated migraines, depression and others, human vitality is too exhausted to be able to cope without an outside help. In such cases properly appointed drug stimulates the vital force to begin the process of self-healing. This force is called by different names in different cultures – Prana in India, Ci in China and vital force in Europe.
.
The potential of Homeopathy
Everywhere healthcare is undergoing change. More and more people realize that health means much more than being physically fit and well-fed.
Homeopathy can offer a lot. With its different approach to the disease, it can help patients whose illness is considered incurable by conventional medicine.
.
Where can we find the serious specialists in this field?
First – Homeopathic graduates with medical degree or homeopaths with no medical education, but working under the supervision of one who has. Be persistent when you choose your homeopath to get the information about the qualifications of the staff working there. Do not hesitate to reject incompetent help – it could be fatal for you.
Homeopathy also requires solid knowledge and experience regarding the psychology of the phenomena around us. It is very important for your homeopath to overcome the false curtains that each of us – and the wisest – creates around us. Therefore it is important to have appropriate training and experience in the field of analytical psychology and psychotherapy. Treatment of each disease is a complex creative process. The need for daily work in therapy is determined by the unique combination of biological, mental and social factors for the development of pathological process. The relative contribution of each of these factors are strictly individual and therefore the therapeutic tactics should be different as well.
Patient should be ready for even more serious psychotherapeutic measures such as longer sessions and psychoanalysis.
Finally – the success of treatment depends on how accurate the major therapeutic target is determined and therefore – the means that would most effectively defeat it.

Homeopathy – Medicine of the XXI century
Homeopathy offers a method for maintaining good health and preventing diseases. It should be fine, but effective therapy to correct “minor” offenses, long before the appearance of serious symptoms associated with certain diseases. Homeopathy does not wait for the conventional diagnosis to initiate a treatment. Many diseases can be stopped early before the serious symptoms occur.
People who have undergone homeopathic treatment, feel that their health and well-being has improved. They are more resistant to infections, more stable and have a clearer idea about the meaning of life. These improvements surely are steps towards real health.
